  Viewing an archived lecture

Archived lectures in medportal have three main display areas. A small video recording of the presentation (a.k.a. the "talking head"), the lecture information section below the video, and the large slide presentation to the right. Once viewing the lecture, you will not need to do anything. You will see the video, the sound and the slides all progress in synch, as you would see during the lecture.

Important to note: Our current lecture delivery system will only be viewable reliably in Internet Explorer on PC. It is possible to view on other browsers and platforms, but you may run into trouble. If you get errors, please refer to our main archived talks help page and if your error is common, it will be there. Failing that, you can email support@medportal.ca with your particular issue and our team will look into the matter.

Many of our medportal users use Macintosh, and there is a way to view using the OSX platform, but it will require installing Microsoft Silverlight, which is essentially the Microsoft version of Adobe Flash Player. You can download Silverlight here.
