When I open a lecture, it prompts me to install a plugin and won't play the video
Whenever using a browser other than Internet Explorer on PC, you will be prompted to install plugins to be able to view the lectures. While in many cases this works, unfortunately, it is not very reliable and will simply not work for some users.
It is therefore recommended that you use Internet Explorer instead of any other browsers. The reason for this is our current lecture delivery system uses the Windows Media Player plugin, which doesn't like to "play nice" with other browsers.
For Macintosh users, there is a way to view using the OSX platform, but it will require installing Microsoft Silverlight, which is essentially the Microsoft version of Adobe Flash Player. You can download Silverlight here.
