Sync multiple calendars on iPhone/iPad/iPod
To set up your iPhone or other iDevice to view your medportal calendars (including your class calendars and the like), follow these steps:
Set up your iPhone, iPod or iTouch to connect to medportal
Follow these steps to connect your device to medportal and have it start pushing updates to your personal calendar. For multiple calendars, including your class calendars, see below.
Note: if you have already setup your mail and also sync'd calendars using the "Microsoft Exchange" method, you do not need to follow these instructions. You're done!
- On your iPhone's home screen, click "Settings"
- Tap "Mail, Contacts, Calendars"
- Tap "Add Account..."
- Select "Google"
- Enter your medportal log in credentials
You have now set up the Google calendar sync for your iPhone. Your personal medportal calendar will now be synced. If you have Push enabled on your phone, please allow it a couple minutes to pull the information. Otherwise, open up the "Calendar" or "Contacts" app to sync manually.
Viewing Multiple Calendars
To retrieve multiple medportal calendars on your iPhone, follow the steps below:
NOTE: You can have as many as 25 calendars simultaneously on your device. You will not be allowed to choose more.
- Open Safari Browser and login to medportal.ca
- Open one of the Google services such as email or Calendar, this step is important or it will not work
- Open a new tab by pressing the + and enter the URL "https://m.google.com/sync/settings/iconfig/" without the quotes
- You'll be presented with a list of your devices, tap "iPhone", "iPad", or "iPod" (depending on your device)
- Select the calendars you wish to sync to your device and click "Save"
Allow a few minutes for the calendar entries to populate. Access your Calendar application. Click "Calendars", and under the "medportal" heading, check all calendars containing events you wish to view. If they are not yet available, wait an additional few minutes. After checking the calendars, again, allow a few minutes for the events in those calendars to populate.
