Upload an existing Office document to Google Drive
Uploading an already existing Microsoft Office or OpenOffice document to Google Drive is simple and easy. It can handle traditional file extensions (.doc, .xls, .ppt) as well as new 2007 files (.docx, .xlsx, .pptx). To upload a file, simply do the following:
- In medportal, click your "google docs" icon to get into Google Drive.
- Click the "Upload" button.
- To upload a file from your computer, click "Browse..."
- Navigate to find your file and "Open".
- Click "Upload File"
- Your document will automatically be converted and displayed in Google Drive format. You can then make any changes or share it with others from here.
